Joanne Schweitzer Clinical Nutrition Research Abstract Award
The Joanne Schweitzer Award of the Canadian Nutrition Society is given to a registered dietitian who has submitted a clinical nutrition research abstract to the CNS Annual Conference. The candidate under consideration must be the first author of the abstract and must indicate that he/she is a registered dietitian at the time of the abstract submission. To be considered for this award, applicants must:
- enter the competition at the time of abstract submission and must indicate that they would like their abstract to be reviewed for this award;
- must be a member in good standing with the CNS at the time of submission;
- must be willing to present (oral or poster presentation) their work at the conference.
The abstracts under consideration will be evaluated for the originality of the research, the quality of the findings, and the clarity of the written work.
A committee, appointed by the CNS President and Awards Chair, will make the selection for the recipient of the the Joanne Schweitzer Clinical Nutrition Research Abstract Award. The Award will be presented at the CNS Annual Conference. The award package consists of a monetary award, and a framed certificate or plaque.
