CNS Commitment to Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) is committed to advancing equity, justice, belongingness, and inclusion with clearly defined strategies for meaningful action and to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all members. CNS is also committed to supporting the Canadian nutrition community in engaging in research and practice that effectively engages with and addresses structural determinants and nutrition inequities.

In late 2020, CNS formed an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group. Part of this Working Group’s evolving mandate is to review internal processes and make recommendations that relate to of diversity, equity, belongingness and inclusion. To date we have already undertaken several activities, much of which has been guided by a discussion forum that we hosted during our 2021 Annual Conference, as well as a climate survey that we undertook with our members last summer. We are proud to share many of these activities on this site, including access to past webinars and other resources that can hopefully support you as you undertake your own meaningful actions.

Please keep watch of this site to learn about upcoming events and new resources that are available.
