What You'll Do:
The Manager, Regulatory Affairs Canada will be responsible for driving regulatory processes and serving as the primary representative for Regulatory Affairs on Infant Formula and Child Nutrition (IFCN) projects.
What Are Your Responsibilities?
Represent Canadian Regulatory on Innovation, Maintenance and Expansion Initiatives
- Drives regulatory processes to ensure timely filing, registration, approval, and/or maintenance of product registration in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Stays abreast of, interprets, and communicates existing and/or proposed government regulations, registration requirements, and labeling changes to Operations, Business, and R&D disciplines and applies these changes as necessary to facilitate RB's business plans and long-term goals.
- Serves as primary representative for Regulatory Affairs on project teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establishes and maintains communication channels and constructive rapport with key partners in Marketing, R&D, & Supply Chain to streamline and maximize information and documentation flow.
- Understands and communicates Canadian regulations and procedures for IFCN products and how regulations may impact work assignments.
- Supports the development of science-based innovations by developing and executing the regulatory strategy.
- Provides regulatory guidance and scientific support for the development and review of educational and promotional materials for consumers and health care professionals.
- Effectively communicates across technical and non-technical audiences to translate regulation- and science-based information into meaningful language.
- Provides regulatory guidance and expertise for on and off-package infant formula and children's product labelling.
Represent RB Health's Interest in Key Industry and Academic Groups
- Participates in Food & Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC) and other identified group meetings on topics of interest to IFCN & RB Health Canada
How Do You Know If You're A Fit?
Experience
- Experience preparing and maintaining dossiers such as registration submissions for regulated products.
- Demonstrated ability in development and review of educational and promotional material.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, while focusing on delivering value-added business results that meet high quality requirements with tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate scientific issues and technical reports to internal and/or external audiences.
Knowledge
- Masters in nutrition related field or registered dietician or significant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and registration requirements for infant formula in the Canadian market.
- Familiarity with the necessary requirements related to the registration and labelling of as well as the scientific support for IFCN products.
- Familiarity with expert recommended intakes and guidelines for infants and children.
- Knowledge of nutrient function, nutrient content, and health claims.
