Dean, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition


The University of Saskatchewan is conducting an international search for its next dean of the college of pharmacy and nutrition and invites applications and expressions of interest. The appointment will be effective July 2019.


The University of Saskatchewan's “One Health" Initiative is considered one of six signature areas of research at the University. With all major health sciences, including veterinary medicine, on one campus as well as the presence of three interdisciplinary graduate schools: public health, public policy and environment and sustainability, we have a rich and diverse academic environment where innovation thrives. Partnership with existing campus facilities such as the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the international vaccine centre VIDO-InterVac creates unparalleled health research possibilities. The “One Health" approach has the potential to revolutionize healthcare education, and improve the health of the entire world.


The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition has two dynamic disciplines in one college and is respected as an epicenter for practice innovation and research excellence in Canada. As one of the oldest pharmacy/nutrition schools in Canada, many graduates over the past 100 years have gone on to be pharmacy practice innovators and nutrition leaders across the country.


The Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition will be a distinguished leader, researcher and educator who brings a commitment to the profession as well as a record of leadership success along with the capacity and vision to build on the momentum that the college has achieved.
