This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding early-career scientist to conduct independent research in human nutritional science and teach undergraduate students in the Grand Challenge Initiative. Postdoctoral Fellows at Chapman University are offered a competitive salary, benefits, research support, and personalized professional development in teaching and research.

Research (60%): Fellows will have the opportunity for self-directed research within the research program of the principal investigator. Areas of interest may include one of: lipid biochemistry & metabolism, maternal & infant nutrition, nutritional modulation of inflammatory bowel disease

Teaching (40%): Fellows will teach foundational coursework on critical thinking in the sciences.The Fellow will guide first and second-year undergraduate student teams in applying critical thinking to solving problems of global importance.

Requirements: The Postdoctoral Fellow must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent of a doctoral degree (conferred within the past 5 years) and the candidate must not have exceeded five years of prior postdoctoral experience.

Position will commence August, 2020. There is a possibility for start date of June, 2020.
