Laine Dyck has been a clinical dietitian for over 15 years covering numerous areas in medicine, surgery, oncology, critical care and home nutrition support. She started her post-secondary education with a degree in cell and molecular biology from Concordia University in Montreal. There, Laine pursued research in various areas in applied and natural sciences. She later achieved her degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition from McGill University and began her career at the McGill University Health Center. Laine moved to Edmonton in 2014 and has been working for Alberta Health Services since.  She currently holds a position working in the Northern Alberta Home Parenteral Nutrition Program and serves as the team lead for the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Sturgeon and Leduc Community Hospitals.

Laine’s area of practice focuses on nutrition support in intestinal failure and malnutrition; supporting patients living with conditions such as short bowel syndrome, complex IBD, complications from GI surgery including bariatric surgery and other malabsorptive conditions.
