APNM Abstract Award
Awarded to the highest ranked abstract that has a primary focus on the application of physiology, nutrition, and metabolism to the study of human health, physical activity or fitness.
To be considered for this award, the applicant:
- must enter the competition at the time of abstract submission and must indicate on their form that they would like their abstract to be reviewed for the APNM Abstract Award along with the Nutrition Graduate Student and Trainee Award;
- must be a graduate student, post-degree dietetic intern, or medical resident. Authors already holding a PhD degree are not eligible;
- must be willing to present (oral or poster presentation) their work at the conference;
- both the applicant and his/her supervisor must be current members in good standing with the CNS at the time of submission to be eligible. .
The Awards Committee co-chairs will make the selection for the recipient of the APNM Abstract Award based on the highest ranking of all eligible abstracts.
The Award will be presented at the CNS Annual Conference. The award package consists of a certificate and monetary award on behalf of APNM. The recipient will be encouraged to submit a manuscript to the journal of APNM pertaining to the award-winning abstract. The trainee will be offered mentorship from APNM co-Editor-in-Chief in the development of the manuscript.
