Canadian Nutrition Society Postdoctoral Award

The CNS Postdoctoral Award aims to recognize early-career scientists and clinicians engaged in outstanding research on topics related to food/nutrition at a Canadian Institution.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this competition, the postdoctoral trainee must be:

  1. A CNS Early Career I member in good standing 
  2. Engaged in research that focuses on topics related to food/nutrition.
  3. A postdoctoral fellow (post-MD/PhD) at a recognized Canadian Institution.

How to Apply

In submitting the nomination via the Online Award Nomination Tool, the following information should be provided:

*Any career interruptions (e.g. medical leave, maternity or parental leave) that may have influenced the opportunity for knowledge production, publications and related variables may be explained and included in a separate document.

The award consists of a monetary prize and recognition plaque. The award will be presented at the 2026 CNS Annual Conference Banquet.  Please see the conference program for details on award presentations. 

Late applications or applications with missing documents will not be accepted. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their applications are complete and submitted by the deadline.

Nominations are due January 31, 2026 - submitted via the Online Award Nomination tool
