The Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award for Best Application of Clinical Nutrition Research Findings to Clinical Practice
The Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award for Best Application of Clinical Nutrition Research Findings to Clinical Practice recognizes a Canadian or Canadian-based individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the application of clinical nutrition research in practice. The recipient will have effectively or creatively applied their research to broaden and/or significantly enhance clinical practice.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award, the nominee must:
- be Canadian or based in Canada; and
- have made an outstanding contribution to the application of clinical nutrition research findings to clinical practice.
CNS membership is not required for this award; however, membership will be considered an asset.
Nomination Deadline
Nominations are due February 1, 2027 by 11:59 a.m. ET and must be submitted through the Online Award Nomination Tool.
Nomination Package
A complete nomination package should include the following:
Research and Clinical Application
Details of the specific research conducted and the clinical application that was developed and implemented as a result of that research.
Nomination Rationale
A rationale describing why the nominee is considered meritorious for the Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award.
Biographical Summary
A biographical summary, such as a biosketch and/or curriculum vitae, to support the award citation and presentation.
Selection & Award
Nominations may be submitted by anyone and are open to all; however, preference will be given to members and supporters of CNS.
An anonymous review committee appointed by a CNS Awards Co-Chair will review all eligible nominations and recommend a recipient for the Khursheed Jeejeebhoy Award.
The recipient will receive:
- an opportunity to give a short acceptance talk to conference delegates;
- a recognition plaque;
- a monetary award; and
- an opportunity to deliver a lecture during during a CNS-hosted webinar
The award will be presented during the CNS Annual Conference.
