The goals of the science presenter are to impart knowledge and enhance audience insight. Strategies in presentation development and delivery can play a critical role in how well these goals are met. This session will discuss tools and techniques - both conceptual and practical - that can make any session more impactful.

At the end of the session participants will be able to:

1) describe shortcomings commonly found in presentations and presentation materials

2) discuss strategies to optimize presentation materials

3) enumerate techniques that speakers can employ to optimize verbal presentations
