This webinar will review the latest evidence on the impact of hospital-based malnutrition and effective methods to detect, prevent and treat this debilitating condition in hospital and post discharge. It will include cutting-edge research that has been conducted by the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force over the last decade. Evidence-based protocols, pathways and tools aimed at tackling malnutrition that can be used by primary care teams will be highlighted


ABOUT THE SPEAKER:


Dr. Gramlich is a Gastroenterologist and Physician Nutrition Specialist, she currently holds a position as Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta and is the Provincial Medical Advisor for Nutrition Services in Alberta Health Services. She is the founding president of the Canadian Nutrition Society and a past member of the ASPEN Board of directors. She is a founding member and current co-chair of the Canadian Malnutrition Task force. She has published more than 100 articles as author or co-author, has had multiple students and received multiple grants for her research.
