About the Speakers:

Josephine E. Sciortino is Editorial Director at Canadian Science Publishing, where she manages a team of journal development specialists to grow journals in the Life Sciences and Agricultural disciplines. She has taught courses in publishing and professional editing at the university level (including at George Washington University). She has worked in scholarly publishing for over 20 years with various biomedical societies in the management of their specialty journals, including the Canadian Urological Association Journal (as the inaugural managing editor) and the Canadian Medical Association Journal. She also is an active volunteer at her local library in Montreal, Canada, where she lives with her husband and 2 teenage daughters.


Tracy Fegan has been in journal publishing for over 20 years in different capacities. Currently she is the Journal Development Specialist for APNM. She lives in Nanaimo, BC, and has two crazy dogs.
