Active Membership
Eligibility: Any individual with a graduate-level degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution and is employed in nutrition or a related field in government, health care, research, education, or industry may join CNS as an Active member. $205 CAD + applicable taxJOIN NOW RENEW NOW

Early Career Membership
Eligibility Early Career I: Any individual within five years of receiving a doctorate degree or young professional who has completed a nutrition or related degree within the past five years. $110 CAD + applicable tax
Eligibility Early Career II: Any individual within six to ten years of receiving a doctorate degree or young professional who has completed a nutrition or related degree within the past six to ten years. $160 CAD + applicable tax

Associate Membership
Eligibility: Any individual who is a member of a provincially regulated healthcare profession or works in an allied healthcare profession with a focus area on nutrition as part of their practice is eligible to join CNS as an Associate Member. $205 CAD + applicable tax

Emeritus Membership
Eligibility: Any individual that has been an Active/Associate CNS member in good standing for at least 5 years, is over the age of 65, and has retired from professional life in a remunerative capacity.
If you are a current CNS member who is eligible for an Emeritus membership, please identify yourself to membership@cns-scn.ca for further direction. $80 CAD + applicable tax

Student Membership (Graduate)
Eligibility: Any individual currently enrolled in a graduate or post-graduate program of nutritionally oriented study, carrying at least a fifty percent (50%) course load, and who is a candidate for a graduate or medical degree at an accredited institution is eligible to apply. Proof of status is required. $55 CAD + applicable tax

If you are registering as a CNS Student member, you will be asked to upload proof of student eligibility with your application.
Student Membership (Undergraduate)
Eligibility: Any individual who is a candidate for an undergraduate degree and is currently a full-time student at an accredited Canadian institution is eligible to apply. Proof of status is required. $30 CAD + applicable tax

All eligible CNS Student (Undergraduate level) members must be endorsed/sponsored by an existing CNS Active member (including joint ASN, ESPEN, ASPEN) in good standing. You will be asked for this endorsement during the application process.
