Clinical Dietitian

Position Summary


We are seeking a Permanent Full Time Clinical Dietitian at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC.
Days of work: Monday to Friday, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00

The successful candidate in this position will have access to an extended orientation and mentorship with a senior dietitian for critical care and nutrition support.
With this opportunity comes with eligibility to apply for reimbursement of registration or membership fees through the Health Sciences Association.



What will you work on?

Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counselling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource

to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu development.

Qualifications


• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.

• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).

• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.

• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.

• Valid BC Driver's License.
