The Department of Applied Human Nutrition is seeking candidates with expertise in food and nutrition for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor or Lecturer level, commencing 1 July 2022.
The Description
Applicants should hold, or be nearing completion of, a PhD in food and/ or human nutrition or a related discipline, and have experience in community, population, and public health settings. Candidates with research expertise with various population groups, such as with ageing populations, indigenous and other equity-deserving groups, and people and communities facing barriers, will be considered.
Workload for the position includes research, teaching, and collegial service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Strong evidence of potential to achieve research excellence. Teaching experience at the university level is an asset.
Eligibility for a membership with Dietitians of Canada and the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association will be considered an asset.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the MSVU Faculty Association Collective Agreement. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
