Meet Audrée-Anne Dumas 


Audrée-Anne Dumas is a dietitian and graduate student at Laval University, in Quebec City. She recently started her PhD in nutrition under the supervision of Sophie Desroches, RD, PhD. Her current field of research is the use of web-based applications – more especially social media such as blogs – to transfer nutrition knowledge, influence eating behaviors and optimize adherence to dietary advice.

During her PhD, Audrée-Anne aims to assess the impact of an evidence-based healthy eating blog on dietary and food-related behaviors of mothers and their children. She is a formed Knowledge Translation Canada Network trainee and has great interest in improving how nutrition knowledge is translated to clinical practice to improve the health of the population. She is a passionate food blogger. She promotes healthy cooking, positive attitudes towards food and makes nutrition information more accessible in her own nutrition blog (

Audrée-Anne is currently the Canadian Nutrition Society University Student Representative at Laval and has been hard at work promoting the CNS-SCN mission. Congratulations Audrée-Anne!
